A. GRADING STANDARD :
a) Quality of Cuts grade defined as follows:
No. 1 cutting grade
Clear wood between knots > 1000 mm
At least 70% of clear wood > 1000 mm
No. 2 cutting grade
Clear wood between knots > 600 mm
At least 70% of clear wood > 600 mm
No. 3 cutting grade
Clear wood between knots > 200 mm
At least 60% of clear wood > 200 mm
Others
At least 50% clear wood between knots > 150 mm
b) No pith
B. PROCESSING STANDARDS :
a) Moisture content : 8-12%.
b) Recondition to minimize stress.
c) Minimum resin to facilitate turning and sanding.
C. QUANTITY PERCENTAGE :
Cuts grade estimated grade out-turn:
No.1 cutting 5-10%
No.2 cutting 20-30%
No.3 cutting 55-65%
